How to style your family Christmas photos on a budget: helpful tips and tricks

Figure out the setting/ background/ props and plan your family outfits around those colors!  Our amazing photographer ( Brittany Steed ) was nice enough to send us a preview of her set setup when we booked so I knew exactly colors to wear and which ones would blend in to the background.  For example, she was using a green velvet couch for her set, and if I would have worn a green skirt instead of cream I would have blended and possibly clashed with the couch. 2.  Create a  photo session color scheme to help you shop with the same few colors and mix and match with layers for each member of your family.   I chose plaid shirts that complemented each other but  didn't match  along with neutral bottoms (Khaki for the boys and cream for the girls).  My daughter was supposed to wear a tan/brown fur vest from Old Na
